Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in width overall consisting of a gold background bearing a black triangle surmounted by a red four bastioned fort charged with a blue voided hexagon, superimposed throughout by a yellow double head fasces. Attached above and to the sides of the device a green scroll inscribed "BELLUM VERSO CUMULAVI" in gold.

Symbolism
The black triangle denotes the constancy of support and combat focus provided by the Brigade. The following images comprise the unit: the four bastioned fort suggests the engineering functions, the blue hexagon indicates the chemical capabilities, green and the fasces allude to the unit's key element of the military police capabilities and underscores their readiness to implement military duties. Dark blue represents the infantry and the combat focus of the Brigade. The motto translates to "Combat Maneuver Enhancement."

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was originally approved for the 302d Combat Support Brigade (Maneuver Enhancement) effective 16 September 2008. It was amended to correct the unit designation to the 302d Maneuver Enhancement Brigade.
